Working conditions

No one can deny the usefulness of science and technology.
But fundamental human problems continue;
There came even more suffering, anxiety and tension.
Therefore: important is to develop material and spiritual Human values in harmony together.

HEALTH & SAFETY means:
The circumstances in which the labour (producing film video footage/AV software *) shall be carried out by the various casts, crews, * staff(s) *, and invitationals.

For all activities of Casting International-organizations, the creation of

  1. safe and
  2. functional and
  3. joyfull working conditions 
    have the highest and most durable priority.

For these, two larger policy documents are developed:

  • Health & safety requirements for working in offices and on the sets; and
  • ‘Prevention of PTSD ' during film-shootings, especially for Mediaplan Uganda and Mediaplan Turkey.

The given orders A+B are the direct result of working in and on locations where often the Genius Loci is that of suffering (disasters, death, diseases, fights, fire, aggression, envy, survival of the fittest, etc. etc).
Staff & crews are due to the fact that they are near-close / in the misery, faster susceptible for divers forms of damages; they have higher risks than competitors that work "safer" in their offices in the Netherlands.
To reduce the chances of harm, Casting International has (among other things) well thought out good working conditions and regulations, to create sustainable working conditions for all kinds of film-operations.

With safe is meant:
all employees have constantly professional eye review for safety in the field of physical, mental, Visual, and possession of business personality.

With functional* is meant:
To do thorough your work, without small samsara's (-mentally-: if a small screw is not in its fit, it generates the whole as a not-functioning optimization).

With joyfull* is meant:
Also in primitive locations (such as e.g. in encampments, makeshift accommodation, and during travel), there is a company strive for job satisfaction, enthusiasm, cosiness, also time for relaxation, personal care, and -in friendly relations- teachable evaluation moments.

The requirements (often inspired by statutory regulations, but also by reflective empirical experiences) have been poured into policy documents and standaardizations of drills and skills.

In the near future, the labour Union will be consulted as an advisor.
Therefore, employees are encouraged to become member of a labour union.

There are prescription-articles about office procedures, cooperation procedures, liaison operations, hygiene, rewards, work rest periods, and job satisfaction, including enhancement measures.
For working in an office, there are safety requirements: anti-robbery procedures, escape routes, fire safety.
At work on the set (often on locations*, less in studios), there are prepared and tested separate instructions and skills & drills training programms for the safety of personnel, product, and material.
There are health & safety policy documents *.

The occupational health & safety of employees is not only physical (eg. FIRST AID), but also psychological-/ spiritual health. Think for example about the view*: not pity (call in someone's suffering), but compassion (transform one's suffering into happiness).
The occupational health and safety is every time made a bit more perfect during the internal trainings of employees and interns.
